This is the online debut of the Mili-Cardigan! Inspired by the repurposed military knitwear from our early collections.
The cardigan is developed with a signature denzilpatrick fit - with a generous shoulder and sleeve but is then short through the torso. The effect of this shaping technique is to elongate the lower half of the body and soften the waistline by pulling focus to the softened shoulder.
With a deep v-opening, the cardigan opening has short button stand, stacked with four classic horn-effect buttons, and (spolier alert) the buttons are made from repurposed paper!
Crafted from washed lambswool yarn, custom dyed to our shade of Brixton Blue, the cardigan is knitted using a half-cardigan stitch -traditionally used to give more structure and body to the final piece. The cuffs and waistline are finished with a narrow 2x1 rib-stitch.
What makes this piece unique are the cotton-patch details - seen here, replacing the traditional knitted pockets, at the lower sleeve and at the back neck .
